To tie in with the May 2010 newsletter, we are posing the question: what are your most used sewing tools? I mean, if you were stranded on a deserted island with fabric, thread and needles, what other sewing supplies would you require?
What are you most can't-live-without tools in your sewing box?

A seam-ripper! While I guess scissors will do in a pinch, I definitely use those a lot. Also, I use a ferrier's magnet for fallen pins and needles. Other than that... safety pins & fray check. =)
It's great!!.............................................
Seam ripper. Seam ripper. Oh, and another seam ripper. LOL
I love my chalk pencil too.

Well, if I'm only given fabric, thread and needles, I'd naturally also need scissors and pins. :-) Those scissors might be my small ones, because they double as a seam ripper for me.
Oh, you are all right and I'd totally agree on the seam ripper. I really couldn't sew without that either.
Well done!........................................
While my seam ripper is a needed instrument when I'm sewing with a machine.. she said needle and thread. I hate hand stitching so I make note of every stitch and really don't often cut them out. I don't believe you would allow me to say my ENTIRE sewing room.. lol.. although it would be shelter too.. hmmm.... my scissors we've established. I guess it would depend on what I was going to sew.. a tent.. curtains.. dresses? gotta look good when the ship of sailors rescues us. AHHHH I know!! my lace!!! yeah I love my lace :)
